So I just came back on tuesday from a 6 day stint in Montreal for the Easter long week-end. I was talking with my friend Ivy and was like “I just realized I have a 6 day weekend…I should come visit you in Montreal.” That was basically how I ended up going. Everyone who knows me, knows that this is very out of character as I’m usually a pretty boring/not adventurous person, but I’m glad I made the trip.
Montreal was amazing. This was the first time I’ve really visited a city outside of BC (apart from Layovers in Toronto) and I had the time of my life. Arriving to a 24 degree summer-like day, the city was incredible and packed with people walking and enjoying the weather. The streets reminded me of a psuedo Canadian/French Paris/Vancouver (if that made sense). My photos don’t do the city justice (this is only the first batch) because I was too busy looking at everything and enjoying the sights to really focus on taking pictures (whoops). But anyways, thanks to all the amazing people I met on the trip, you all made it extremely memorable. Montreal, as cheesy as it sounds, pretty life altering, in my eyes. This was the first time I’ve done some ‘adventurous’ traveling and I know it won’t be my last. It was a nice reminder to just chill out, step out of your comfort zone and meet some awesome people.
