I’ve decided to go MIA for the next 17 days until my exams are over. But before I go, I wanted to write out some plans for the summer:
- Get more portraits in (Belle, Minnie and Jordan!!!!)
- Make my Portfolio!
- Photowalks (Lets go Nick! you too Jeremy…I think it’s a much needed catch up)
- Document the city
- Take some more photos of my own cooking
- Get in the studio and learn some lighting!
- Get my reading on, I’ve got the Photographer’s Eye and Light: Science and Magic waiting for me
- Go on a couple weekend travels
- Get sponsors and raise a ton of money for the Richmond BCSPCA‘s Paws for a Cause
- Figure out what I want to do with the rest of my ife (ie: Urban Planning in Grad schools, etc)
But First, Kill my exams. See ya Later everyone! Since I have no pictures to give you, here’s a cute cat.

So I just came back on tuesday from a 6 day stint in Montreal for the Easter long week-end. I was talking with my friend Ivy and was like “I just realized I have a 6 day weekend…I should come visit you in Montreal.” That was basically how I ended up going. Everyone who knows me, knows that this is very out of character as I’m usually a pretty boring/not adventurous person, but I’m glad I made the trip.
Montreal was amazing. This was the first time I’ve really visited a city outside of BC (apart from Layovers in Toronto) and I had the time of my life. Arriving to a 24 degree summer-like day, the city was incredible and packed with people walking and enjoying the weather. The streets reminded me of a psuedo Canadian/French Paris/Vancouver (if that made sense). My photos don’t do the city justice (this is only the first batch) because I was too busy looking at everything and enjoying the sights to really focus on taking pictures (whoops). But anyways, thanks to all the amazing people I met on the trip, you all made it extremely memorable. Montreal, as cheesy as it sounds, pretty life altering, in my eyes. This was the first time I’ve done some ‘adventurous’ traveling and I know it won’t be my last. It was a nice reminder to just chill out, step out of your comfort zone and meet some awesome people.
The Pictures are on my Flickr stream and I’ll edit/upload the rest later!
Everybody is just a stranger but
that’s the danger in going my own way
I guess it’s the price I have to pay

is no reason not to ask myself
Not enough words, nor pictures can describe how incredible this concert was. It was everything I expect and much more. I feel sometimes like his lyrics speak for my heart, like I don’t need to say anything, just listen to his music and it is enough. Awesome start to my long-weekend. Leaving tomorrow morning to Montreal, it’s going to be great. Have a great weekend everyone!
After class today the sunset was making some beautiful light so I decided to get some shots in. This is my BFF Jordan, he’s a natural cam whore/model so it works out pretty well.
It was a beautiful spring day at the UBC Campus for pictures! Here’s my friend Betty who did an awesome job in helping me get some practice in. Enjoy!
