So I just came back on tuesday from a 6 day stint in Montreal for the Easter long week-end. I was talking with my friend Ivy and was like “I just realized I have a 6 day weekend…I should come visit you in Montreal.” That was basically how I ended up going. Everyone who knows me, knows that this is very out of character as I’m usually a pretty boring/not adventurous person, but I’m glad I made the trip.
Montreal was amazing. This was the first time I’ve really visited a city outside of BC (apart from Layovers in Toronto) and I had the time of my life. Arriving to a 24 degree summer-like day, the city was incredible and packed with people walking and enjoying the weather. The streets reminded me of a psuedo Canadian/French Paris/Vancouver (if that made sense). My photos don’t do the city justice (this is only the first batch) because I was too busy looking at everything and enjoying the sights to really focus on taking pictures (whoops). But anyways, thanks to all the amazing people I met on the trip, you all made it extremely memorable. Montreal, as cheesy as it sounds, pretty life altering, in my eyes. This was the first time I’ve done some ‘adventurous’ traveling and I know it won’t be my last. It was a nice reminder to just chill out, step out of your comfort zone and meet some awesome people.
The Pictures are on my Flickr stream and I’ll edit/upload the rest later!

Everybody is just a stranger but
that’s the danger in going my own way
I guess it’s the price I have to pay
still “Everything happens for a reason”
is no reason not to ask myself
Not enough words, nor pictures can describe how incredible this concert was. It was everything I expect and much more. I feel sometimes like his lyrics speak for my heart, like I don’t need to say anything, just listen to his music and it is enough. Awesome start to my long-weekend. Leaving tomorrow morning to Montreal, it’s going to be great. Have a great weekend everyone!

This is Friday and until this morning he was our pet Cockatiel for the last 10 years. The story goes that on a summer day, lost and confused, he flew into the trunk of my dad’s Van. With little luck finding the original owners, we decided to keep him as a pet. Over the last couple years he’s been great company and grew into a part of our family and although he’s gone now, he’ll surely be missed <3.

This little guy decided to join me while writing resumes in the amazing weather at UBC. So I decided he could be a model for a day instead of getting squished.

We had an hour during our break so we decided to have some fun in the sun. Here’s Andrew and Holden (and they’re both single btw).
