I bet a lot of you have pass this statue around Irving K Barber Library everyday. It’s beautifully sad and I don’t know why it’s in front of the library, but it’s there. Enjoy! The statue is entitled “Mother and Child” and it was made by George A. Norris. It was originally intended to be outside the education building according to the UBC archives, but it never made it there with its other companion sculpture, Father and Child.
